Virginia Lynn (Gingo)Scott passed away Saturday, June 09, 2018 at the Elizabeth House Hospice in Flat Rock, North Carolina.
Born October 11, 1956 in Corinth, Mississippi, she was a 1974 graduate of Corinth High School. Gingo attended Mississippi State University before earning a B.S. in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. She worked in the fields of Education, Accounting, Publishing, and Health Care. For the past three years, she had worked with Griswold Home Care of Asheville, NC. While Gingo had a varied career path, the arts were her first and truest love. She was a talented artist, musician, singer, and photographer.
Gingo was preceded in death by her parents George Scott and Florence Milam of Corinth. Survivors include her siblings, Jan Scott Caldwell of Corinth, and Bill (Cyndi) Scott of Ridgeland, MS. Nieces Allison Caldwell (Ben) Albarracin, of Corinth; Virginia Scott(Kris) Cote of Loveland, CO; Victoria Scott (Corey) Sivils of Irondale, AL; and Amy Nash (Eric) Perryman of Columbia, TN. One Nephew, Landon (Haven) Caldwell also of Corinth.
Gingo will be laid to rest in the North Carolina mountains that she loved to photograph. A celebration of life will be held at on Saturday July 14 at 10:00 AM At The Blowing Rock near Blowing Rock, NC. Casual dress.
