Bill was the son of the late Stonewall Jackson “Jack” Arbogast and Ora Burton Arbogast. He was also preceded in death by wives, Joyce Williams Arbogast and Kathleen Tweed Arbogast; four brothers: Donald Arbogast, Stonewall Jackson "Jack" Arbogast Jr, Dr. James Arbogast and Lewis E Arbogast; and three sisters: Pauline Arbogast Davis, Yuvonne Arbogast Bays Turk and Clara Mae Arbogast Gamble.

Bill was a proud Veteran of the United States Airforce. He had a love for old Westerns and Bluegrass and Gospel music. His favorite instrument was his mandolin. He also loved to shoot pool. He faithfully attended church and was a member of the church choir. Bill was a friend to everyone he met.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at Calvary Worship Center Church of God, Marshall, NC in the fellowship hall - the family invites family, church family and friends to join them for a BBQ dinner at 6pm. The family invites Bill’s musician friends to bring their instruments and participate in a Bluegrass Gospel Jam session to honor Bill. Additionally, all attendees are encouraged to dress casually and wear their bib overalls or suspenders and plaid shirts in honor of him.
