Allene W. Worley

Mrs. Allene W. Worley of Bishopville, South Carolina passed away on November 15th, 2023 at Tore’s Home in Brevard, North Carolina. She was the widow of Harold (Red) W. Worley. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Hancock of Asheville, North Carolina where she was born and raised and educated in the public schools. She received her BSHE degree from the Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, North Carolina. She taught high school in North Carolina for five years and seventeen years at Bishopville Primary School in Bishopville, South Carolina.
Survivors include daughters, Kathey W. Elliott (Barry) of Little River, South Carolina and Deborah W. Davis of Brevard, North Carolina. Also grandsons Ricky Davis Jr (Jennings) of Greenville, South Carolina and Scott Willilam Davis and Matthew Perry Davis both of Brevard, North Carolina and granddaughters, Katie E. McKenzie and Stephanie E. Shick (Chris) both of Little River, South Carolina along with several 7 great grands and 4 nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Bishopville in Bishopville, South Carolina and a graveside service at Ashlawn Cemetery, Asheville, North Carolina. Dates are to be determined and will be announced accordingly.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Bishopville - 229 West Church Street, Bishopville, SC 29010. Mama loved her church where she faithfully served and attended for over 40 years.
