It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in Mission Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina. She was 81.
Ann was born December 3, 1939 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada to the late Ruby Evelena Rose Richardson and Edgar James Coutts. She grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and graduated from The Toronto General Hospital Training School for Nurses (TGH) in 1963. Ann worked as an RN, and later RN Case Manager, in Michigan, California, Colorado, and Florida.
In addition to her parents, Ann’s spouse, Demmus David Harvey Jr., and brother, Ian Richardson Shand Coutts, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter Demaree Walker (Brian) of Arden, North Carolina; sister Rosemary Richards (David) and brother David Coutts (Marcy) of Ontario, Canada. The deceased also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, natural son James McGowan of Barbados; his 3 children and several grandchildren. Due to international COVID traveling restrictions, a service will not be held.
