Barbara F. Allison

Barbara F. Allison, 77, of Leicester, NC peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 surrounded by family.

Barbara was born in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to the late Leonard and Eva Falkenhagen.

Surviving Barbara is her husband, Wade Allison; daughter, Teresa Turbyfill (Gregory); sister, Carol Gregory (Jerry); grandchildren, Anna McConnell (Nathan) and Jeremiah Turbyfill (Jena); great grandchild and greatest joy, Emerson Rose McConnell; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Barbara could often be found knitting and loved to gift others her beautiful blankets. She was well known for “Nana’s Potato Salad.” In her younger years, she dedicated her time to caring for her grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 3 to 5pm at The Leicester Community Center located at 2979 New Leicester Hwy, Leicester, NC. Michael Freeman will officiate the service. Barbara will be laid to rest at Union Missionary Baptist Church of Leicester, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those that wish to express sympathy to consider donating to their favorite charity in Barbara’s name.
