Barry Lewis

    Barry Lewis of Asheville, North Carolina, passed March 19, 2024. Born November 17, 1960, in Statesville, North Carolina, to the late Corrine Morrison Lewis.  He was sixty-three. Before moving to Asheville, Barry spent time living in Denver, Colorado, and Lenoir and Charlotte, North Carolina.

            He is survived by his son, Barry Leqwan Lewis of Aurora, Colorado; siblings, Sonia D. White (Jesse White) of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Aaron Lewis (Cynthia Lewis) of Lenoir, North Carolina, Davida Lewis Kinsey of Charlotte, North Carolina, Norwood Sigmon (Pam Sigmon) of Streetsboro, Ohio, and June Sigmon (Clara Sigmon) of Statesville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Myella Ariel Rose Baker of Cleveland, Ohio, and Supreme Laqwan Wilson of Brooklyn, New York; and nieces and nephews, Tecolya Moore of Texas, Felcha Smyre of Texas, Victor Lewis of New Jersey, Tonya L. Lewis of New York, Shannon Odell Sigmon of Hawaii, Kelsey Sigmon of Charlotte, Brandon Lewis of Charlotte, Asia C. Lewis of Charlotte, Allessandro J. Lewis of Lenoir, Stephanie Sigmon Funderburk and Patrick Signmon; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins, with honorable mention to Derek (Reitha) Morrison, Robin Rhinehardt (Michael), Geraldine Morrison, Tyrone Morrison and the Wilson cousins of Colorado.

            A service will be held at three o’clock the afternoon of Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Kinsey Residence (8615 Addingham Drive, Charlotte, NC 28269).
