Benjamin Carroll "Benny" Bruce, Jr.

     Benjamin Carroll "Benny" Bruce, Jr. of Weaverville, North Carolina, passed June 7, 2021. He was sixty-two. 
     Benny was born to Benjamin Carroll Bruce, Sr. and Nettie Lee Plemmons Bruce in Miami, Florida on March 25, 1959. A sixty-year resident of Weaverville, Benny attended North Buncombe High School. He worked with Festiva Resorts. Benny enjoyed being in the woods, and was a fisherman and a hunter. He had an interest in hot rods. 
     Benny's grandparents, Benjamin Paul and Donnie Mae Bruce, "Doc" Fletcher Plemmons and Ruth Jane Honeycutt preceded him in death. 
     He is survived by Debbie Bradley, to whom he was married forty-two years; son Joshua of Candler, North Carolina; siblings Kathy Roberts (David), Lynne Emory (Mark), Melissa Music (David) and Bryant Bruce; grandchildren Grayson, Gabriel, Harmony and Bella Grace Bruce; and many nieces and nephews. 
     A service will be held to honor Benny at eleven o'clock the morning of June 19, 2021, at Beech Presbyterian Church, with a ten o'clock visitation. Reverend Jay Rabuck will officiate.
