It’s with our deepest sadness that we say “See You Later” to Bernarr Frank “Barney” Johnson, 90, a longtime resident of Horse Shoe and Hendersonville, North Carolina. Born to Orlo Lee Johnson and Adeline Henchen Johnson in Dansville, New York.

Barney was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

Surviving is the Love of his life of 52+ years Elaine Selph Johnson, Their 3 sons, Samuel Starnes Johnson (Jennifer), Herschel “Andy” Johnson (Christine) and Bernarr Jr. “B.J.” Johnson (Debbie). 8 grandchildren Britney, Zackery, Austin, Paige, Payton, Bailey, Abbey and Emma. 7 great grandchildren, Carolina, Charlotte, Austin, Amelia, Bailynn, Carolynne and Owen along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane and Helen.

A celebration of Life will be at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks to please consider any donations made in Memory of to CarePartners PACE Hendersonville.
