Bill "Butch" Messer

Bill “Butch” Messer, 74, of Asheville, NC, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born July 11, 1951 in Asheville, NC, he was a son of the late Carlee and Mary Messer. He was a graduate of Asheville High School class of 1970. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Dale Messer. Surviving are his siblings, Alice Donnelly and her spouse, Mike, of Fairview, NC, Stephen Messer and her spouse, Kim, of Fairview, NC, and Joe Messer of Asheville, NC, and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held at a later date.
