Billy Harwood Obituary

Billy Lester Harwood, 59, of Asheville, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021. A native of Buncombe County, he worked with his family as an auctioneer at Castle Auction. Billy was in car sales for many years, and was well known for being the best negotiator. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Harwood, brother, James Harwood, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Debora “Debbie” Harwood, daughters, Kristal Gudger (Ryan), Leslie Harwood (Travis), Brian Harwood (Blair), mother, Georgia Harwood, brother, Anthony (Irena), sisters, Debbie Wright (Larry), Brenda Redmond (Jeff), Nancy Dehart (Roger), Karen Guy (Scott), grandchildren, Drew, Zella, Wade, Jase, Clara, and multiple nieces and nephews. A private ceremony will be held for the family with a celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
