Bobby Ray Ball of Brevard, North Carolina, died June 29, 2020, at Mission hospital in Asheville. He was fifty-three.
Bobby was born to Dorothy Mae Messer Ball and Ernest Marshall Ball on September 9, 1966, in Brevard. He was a hunter and a fisherman, and was self-employed in construction. Bobby deeply valued the time he spent with his grandchildren and family.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Ann Ball; siblings Ernest DeWayne Ball, Dennis Ball, Larry Calvin Ward and Judy Ball; and nephews Thomas Lee McCall, Kyle Monroe Cagle and Timothy Adam Shook.
He is survived by his daughters, Natasha Hunter (Roland) and Sasha Lee Golden (Greg) of Troy, North Carolina, and daughter-by-heart Alexia Blackwell of Brevard, North Carolina; sisters Jenny Ball Boggs (Scott) of Six Mile, South Carolina, Debra Carver Nunn (Kenny) of Sylva, North Carolina, Charlotte Ball Caughman of Inman, South Carolina, Donna Ball Maney (Bruce) of Brevard, North Carolina, Cheryl Ball, and Dolores, and sister-in-law Kathy Bindewald Ball of Greenville, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Dakota Ann Golden, Zoey Elizabeth Golden and Natalia Daenerys Hunter all of Troy, North Carolina, Ben Golden (Larissa) and Nathan Golden of Brevard, North Carolina, and John Golden of Troy, North Carolina, and grandson-by-heart Robert Heim of Brevard, North Carolina; nieces Erika Ball, Brittney Wood, Lillie Cagle, Jennifer Murgolo, Tracy Powers, LeeAnn McKinney, Katie Thompson, Biance Riddle and Izzy Smith, and nephews Chris Reece Carver, Joe Ward, Toby Ward, Justin Thompson and Charlie Eubanks. Bobby is also survived by his girlfriend, Melissa Pressley, and her three children; and by many other family members who are not listed, but are lovingly remembered.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at one o’clock the afternoon of Saturday, July 11, 2020, at his sister Jenny Ball Boggs’ home (304 Puckett Mill Drive, Central, South Carolina 29630).
