Brenda Ward

Brenda Ward, aged 69, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away December 5, 2024 in Asheville, NC.

Brenda was born October 4, 1955, in Asheville, NC to the late Thelma Marie Waddell and Major Worth Waddell Sr.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in passing by her brothers, Dennis Waddell, Steven Waddell, and Gary McPherson.

Brenda is survived by her son, Richard (Elizabeth) Ward; siblings, Major (Theresa) Waddell Jr., David (Janet) Waddell, Kathy Hill, and Kenneth (Betty) Waddell; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held December 21, 2024 at 1 PM at Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC 28778. Major Waddell Jr. will be officiating.

We will always remember how she loved life and always had a kind word and smile.
