Carla Dawn Pike King

            Carla Dawn Pike King of Asheville, North Carolina, passed January 17, 2021, at the age of fifty-six.

            Carla was born March 23, 1964, to Wanda Maxine Sexton Pike and Albert Gene Pike in Buncombe County. She enjoyed tubing, fishing and camping, and watching crime shows. She laughed often with her friends. Carla was kind and sharing. She cared about people, and she loved her dog. Carla was loved, and will be greatly missed.

            Carla was preceded in death by her brother, Harold A. Pike.

            She is survived by her parents; her longtime partner, Michael Jones; her sisters, Annette Candler of Brevard, North Carolina, and Elaine Garrett of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina; aunts and uncles Elbert (Cork) and Ellen Pike, Hazel Burnette, Barbara Sexton and Paul Sexton; and six nieces and four nephews.

            A memorial service will be held in Carla’s honor at three o’clock the afternoon of February 27, 2021, at Eagle Rock Church (10 Roberts Street, Asheville, North Carolina).
