She courageously fought a long and hard fight and has now claimed eternal victory. She was a very talented and giving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves this world a little bit better for all those that she touched.
Carrie was born in Atlanta, GA, in 1969. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Clearwater and New Smyrna Beach, FL. She attended Stetson University where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Arts and Humanities. After many years working for various non profit organizations Carrie spent the last six years of her life doing what she loved the most, working as a full time artist. She spent much of her time working in her studio on the 3rd floor of the Wedge building in Asheville, NC, and building relationships with other artists in the river arts district that she cherished very much.
No service will be held for Carrie, but please join us in celebrating her life and art at a reception on May 13th from 3-6 in the Wedge Art Studios (129 Roberts Street, Asheville, NC). A group show will be held showcasing collaborative works with Carrie and other artists in the area.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Big Fluffy Dog rescue in Nashville, TN, or Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville.
