Clifford J. "Bubba" Crandall, age 94, passed on July 16, 2022, at Charles George V.A. Hospice Care in Asheville, NC. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Linda Williams Crandall and four children: Craig (Collette), Clif (Cindy), Kathleen, and Rebecca. He was predeceased by his daughter Nancy Jane (Mark) as well as his parents, Beatrice and Jimmy Crandall, and siblings, Robert and Betty. He had seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was born in Fort Ann, New York, and grew up on the family's dairy farm. After serving in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II, he graduated from Syracuse University. When he retired, he and his family moved to Asheville where he enjoyed time with his dogs and cats, woodworking, tennis, golf, pickleball, theater, and music. He made beautiful furniture, kept a large, productive garden, and never stopped making people laugh.
He will be interred at the Western Carolina State Veterans' Cemetery following a military service.
