Daniel Victor Black, 31, of Athens, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021. A native of Oconee County, he was an avid outdoorsman, hiker and earned the rank of Eagle Scout at age 14. He graduated with academic honors from North Oconee High School, then attended and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from The University of Georgia.
Daniel kept a keen interest in nature hiking his favorite parts of the Appalachian Trail, traveling and enjoying the Athens Botanical Gardens. His musical interests spanned from early piano, to bass guitar and playing keyboards in a band of friends and family.
Daniel is survived by his grandfather, Charles Urconis, parents, David and Debbie Black, sister, Christina (Mike) Halligan, sister, Katie Black, identical brother, David (Meghan) Black; nieces, Amelia and Charlie Black, nephew, Sean Ryan Halligan.
