Daniel "Pop" Keith Baldwin

Daniel “Pop” Keith Baldwin, 60, of Asheville, N.C. passed away peacefully after a 26-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  On March 30, 2022, Daniel walked into the gates of Heaven. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville and is survived by his soulmate of 38 years Brenda Creasman Baldwin, the three earthly possessions he gets to take to Heaven are: Megan Searcy (Eric) of Rosman, Tanner Baldwin (Amanda)of Canton and Chase Baldwin (Trish) of Weaverville. Brothers Ronnie “Bro” Baldwin (Lesa) of Chinquapin, and Michael Baldwin (Martha) of Black Mountain. Eight grandchildren Kannon, Gracyn, Abbie, Aubrie, Easton, John Luke, Cole, and Rhett. In addition to a whole lotta sisters and brothers in love, along withnieces and nephews that adored him.

Daniel was a lover of laughter, quick wit, and always had a steady smile. He enjoyed coaching his boys in baseball, singing, and playing gospel music with his “Bro”. He retired after 30 years of service with the Buncombe County Bus Garage and enjoyed his antique cars. He received an Honorable Discharge from the NAVY after his service as a See Bee. The last few years of life was spent with the family and friends he loved and all the food he could stand. Above all these things he loved the Lord, and his faith was mirrored in the humility and grace he shown during his battle with M.S. The legacy that Daniel leaves behind is a lifetime reminder of what a man truly is. To know him is to love him and though our lives and the lives of those he touched will be forever changed with his homegoing, we rejoice in the promise of tomorrow with him in Heaven.

A celebration of his incredible life of love, laughter, and the Lord will be held at Trinity Baptist Church at 216 Shelburne Road in Asheville, NC on April 23,2022 at 1p.m. Visitation with the family to follow the service.
