David Lester Taylor

            David Lester Taylor, 59, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022.

            David was born in Buncombe Co. on September 24, 1962. He resided in Candler most of his life. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.

            He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ray and Alice Whiteside, paternal grandparents, Lee and Ruth Taylor, and sister, Diana Taylor Styles.

            He is survived by his parents, Ron and Beki Taylor of Candler; two children, Samantha Taylor of Swannanoa and Daryl Robertson of Candler; sister, Christy Taylor Warren of Candler; one granddaughter, Makenzy Clement of Swannanoa; brother-in-law Scott Styles of Candler; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

            He was a member of Glady Baptist Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed clogging, fishing and making music with his family and friends.

            The family will receive friends Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 5-6pm at Glady Missionary Baptist Church (1425 Pisgah Highway, Candler, NC 28715). Memorial service to follow. Pastor Steve Rogers and Pastor Greg Warren will be officiating the service.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glady Missionary Baptist Church Benevolence fund (PO Box 491, Candler, NC 28715).
