David Jerry Middleton, Sr.

            David Jerry Middleton, Sr., age sixty-eight, died Friday, June 19, 2020, at his home in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

            Jerry was born to Emma Josephine Stepp and Joseph Powell Middleton, Jr. on May 10, 1952. He was a life-long resident of Henderson County and a member of Dana Baptist Church. He served as a National Guard Reserve. Jerry had retired at the time of his death.

            Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Middleton; three sisters, Betty LaFounaine, Linda Evatt and Ann Lewis; and by his loving companion, Wanda Hollifield.

            Surviving him are his son, David Middleton, Jr. and his wife, Kristina; grandson Ransom Middleton; step-children Donnie, Stevie and Anthony Hollifield, and Angie McGraw; and his siblings, Ronnie Middleton and his wife Susan, Dean Middleton and his wife Irene, and Jan Pearson and her husband, Chris.

            A Memorial Service will be held at two o’clock the afternoon of Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Dana Baptist Church. Dan Blackwell will officiate. Visitation will be held before the service, beginning at one o’clock.
