Debbie “Ma” Brown, a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026. She was born on September 18, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio, to the late Bob and Inez Miley.
Ma lived fiercely for her family, nature, dogs, whiskey, and live music. She cherished long hours in her camping chair by the creek and found pure joy in camping. A gifted cook, her pecan pie, potato salads, roll-ups, and tomato pies were family favorites.
She looked forward to Whiskey Wednesdays at Eda Rhyne Distilling Company and was a longtime regular at Fairview Tavern with her “geriatric drinking club.”
Ma will be most missed at weekly family dinner nights, holidays, and anytime she pops into our hearts.
To honor her, visit Eda Rhyne, order “The Debbie,” raise a glass, sit by a creek, go camping, and love your people well.
She is survived by her sons, Frank Szudlo and Joey Cogburn (Eva); and her cherished grandchildren, Ashtyn Szudlo, Logan Moore, and Tanner Lloyd. Arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.
