Deborah Rios Obituary

Deborah Anne Rios, 70, of Alexander, North Carolina passed away March 10, 2022 at Mission Memorial Campus. Debbie was born April 9, 1951 to the late Felix Luis Rios and Ruth Louise Nichols Rios.

Debbie grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina and later relocated to Asheville, North Carolina. Debbie graduated from Eastern Carolina University with her undergraduate in special education, and later received her master’s degree from Western Carolina University in both special education and counseling. Debbie dedicated her life to helping others. Early in her career she was named teacher of the year in Buncombe County. After retirement she dedicated her time to helping and counseling the homeless in Asheville. Debbie was truly loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Bonni Credle and son, Sean Credle, both of Asheville, North Carolina; and grandson, Imri Credle and granddaughter, Selah Credle, both of Asheville, North Carolina.

A celebration of life will be held May 12, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Central United Methodist Church (27 Church Street, Asheville, North Carolina 28801) with Reverend Luke Lingle officiating.
