Donald Kay "DK" Thomas Obituary

Donald Kay “DK” Thomas, 67, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge on September 2, 2021.  Donald was born on May 8, 1954 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Donald Albright Thomas, who passed away nine years ago, and Lillie Mae English Thomas, who passed away eight years ago.  Donald is also preceded in death by two of his brothers, Lonnie Thomas and Johnny Thomas, and his niece, Jennifer Sprinkle.  Donald is survived by his daughter, Summer Walker, his sister, Wilma Sprinkle, and his other brother, John Henry Thomas.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Chris Sprinkle (Jennifer), Adam Sprinkle (Ashley), Johnathan Thomas, Kerrie Thomas, Jennifer, Hailey, Coy, Jobe, Ethan, Ashton, Lane, Kaiden, Daidrien, and Taliyah.

Donald enjoyed doing work as a stone mason, spending time with his family and friends, playing cards, and fishing while listening to country music.  He was affiliated with Oakley Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Oakley Baptist Church.  A visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 PM.
