Donnie Lynn O’Shields, 65, of Arden, died on Monday, January 4, 2021.

          Born on December 4, 1955 in Brevard, he was a son of Geneva Franks O’Shields and the late George Boyce O’Shields. Other than his father, Donnie was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee O’Shields; grandparents, Lonzo and Ava McKinney O’Shields and Jake and Belle Barnes Franks.
          Surviving are his mother and four children, Bryan O’Shields (Nicole), Melanie O’Shields, Hillary O’Shields (Brandon), Katrina O. Sweet (Francis); grandchildren, Sarah O’Shields, Alexis and Kolby Letterman, Noah Crow and Jackson Sweet; a brother, Wayne O’Shields and a sister, Pam O. Weyerman (Richard); nephews, Jeremy Weyerman, Justin Weyerman and Zack Sweet.
Donnie enjoyed Asian food, traveling and fishing. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
          Due to his wishes no service is planned at this time a celebration of life with close friends and family will be held at a later date.
