Dora Jean Bitting 79, Of Asheville, NC formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida passed into Glory on September 25, 2020. She was born June 16, 1941 to the Robert C. Naylor and Dorothy R. Johnson.

Dora lived in Port Charlotte, Florida since 1966 then moving to Asheville, NC with her husband Theodore D. Bitting. Dora worked as a CNA for several years and as a secretary. She was a former member of the Tri-City Baptist church in Port Charlotte, Florida and a current member of The Place Fellowship Church of Fairview, NC.

Dora was preceded in death by her husband Theodore D. Bitting of 58 years and a son Thomas Bitting.

She is survived by her four son’s Theodore D. Bitting Jr. of Port Charlotte, Florida, Robert A. Bitting of Asheville, NC and wife Carol L. Bitting, Andrew Bitting of NC, James F. Bitting and wife Nachelle Bitting of Asheville, NC, six grandchildren Jennifer, Kimberly, Thomas, Billy, Makayle, and Eva, 8 greatgrand children, and 9 sibilings.

Dora will be laid to rest with her husband at the Veterans Crematory in Black Mountain, NC.
