Doris Banks Crisp

Doris “Dot” Banks Crisp, of 284 Cherry Mountain Street, Ellenboro, NC, passed away on Monday, 5-15-23, in her home.  A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Lendell Reagan Banks and Gladys Davis Banks.  She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lloyd “Bo” Crisp; her brother, Glenn Eugene Banks; her brother, Lester Norman Banks; and her sister, Shirley Modena Banks Brown. 

She is survived by her son, David Lathen Crisp of Ellenboro, NC; her sister Patricia Banks Heaton (Larry) of Fletcher, NC; her brother, Ronald Kenneth Banks (Barbara) of Chicago, IL; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Carver Banks Hensley of Candler, NC; her brother-in-law, James Franklin Brown of Candler, NC; one grandson, Matthew Crisp of Marion, NC; one nephew, DeWayne Orr of Asheville, NC; and 6 nieces—Aretta Parton of Candler, NC, Angie Steigerwald, Jennifer Banks and Karen Banks of Chicago, IL, Donna Wizsowaty of Cary, NC, Jo Ann Allison of Marshall, NC; as well as other cousins, grandnephews and grandnieces.

Doris enjoyed life and being with family.  She loved roses, working crossword puzzles and Elvis.  She will be missed by all.
