Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dorothy, who left us on August 25th, 2023. Dorothy was born on June 21st,1930 and brought an abundance of joy, love, and kindness to all those whose lives she touched.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, beloved great grandmother, loyal friend, and a pillar of strength for our family and her church. Her presence illuminated every room she entered, and her vivacious and gregarious nature was a source of warmth that could brighten even the darkest days.

Her unwavering commitment to her spiritual journey and her love for worship were a source of inspiration for all who knew her. As a founding member of Victory Church of Denver CO, Dorothy found joy in serving the Lord through greeting, hospitality and outreach at her church.

Beyond her devotion to her church, Dorothy achieved remarkable milestones in her life, including working as a Postal Service Clerk for the USPS, as an Emergency Medical Technician, and as a Parks and Recreation Clerk for the city of Westminster CO. She also traveled extensively, taking multiple cruises and several trips abroad.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be etched in our hearts. Dorothy is survived by her daughters Christine Carvey and Kathrine Hamm, her son Steven Rdzak, her grandchildren Bethany, Alexandra, Jami, Stephen and Adam, and her great-grandchildren Elysia, Maggie, Sofia, Benjamin, Freya and John. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Chester Rdzak, her brother Keith Rommel and her mother Jewell Trescott.

Dorothy will join Chester in their final resting place together at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Victory Church of Denver in her name so the ministries of her beloved church can help others, a mission that was close to Dorothy's heart. https://victorydenver.com/

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time.

As we bid farewell to Dorothy, let us remember the love, laughter, and cherished moments we shared with her. She may be gone from our sight, but she will forever remain alive in our hearts.

"Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed, and very dear."
