Elizabeth Jo "Libby" Nagle Whitmire

            Elizabeth Jo (“Libby”) Nagle Whitmire of Brevard, North Carolina, passed Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was sixty-seven.

            Libby was born January 2, 1954, to the late Margie Belle Hughey Johnston and Joseph James Nagle in Asheville, North Carolina. She was an artist, and enjoyed recipes and crafts in addition to her art practice.

            Libby’s brother, David Cordell, preceded her in death.

            She is survived by her husband, Rick Whitmire; children, Annie Holcombe of Mars Hill, North Carolina, Cody Holcombe of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Joseph Nagle of Asheville, North Carolina;  and granddaughter, Arianna Lott of Mars Hill, North Carolina.

            A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Joseph Nagle (573 Upper Grassy Branch Extension, Asheville, NC 28805).
