Ellen Coundiff Barnwell, 79, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2025. Born on September 26, 1946 in Washington, D.C., to the late Dan Coundiff and Mary Ann Coundiff.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded by 2 sisters and a brother.

Surviving Ellen is her loving spouse, Charles R. Barnwell; sister, Cathy Nesbitt; sons, Dan Hoyle (Linda), Larry Smith, Andy Thomsand; grandchildren, Beth Sagato, Jeremy Jones, Jess Olresley (Joe), Nate Smith; 4 great grandchildren; nieces, Tracey Padawars, Tammy Valentine, Kelly Valantine, Dallas Hamrick, and Ellie Anema (Scott).
