Ellen Smith Obituary

Ellen Rogers Smith, 57, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord September 7, 2020.

Ellen was born August 11, 1963, in Chesapeake, Virginia, to her late parents, Howard Lenard Rogers and Violet Esteen Rogers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Ellen was loved by many of the residents of Givens Estates, where she worked. She will be missed by family and friends for her toughness and the compassion she had for others. Ellen loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her cats. Ellen was a great seamstress and loved helping others.

Left to cherish her memory is her life partner of 33 years, Gary Frazier; two aunts, Rosa Wheeler and Faye Alexander; an uncle Ray Henson; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the care Ellen received from Mission’s oncology floor and Hospice Care.
