Frances Teresa Krysiak

Frances Teresa Krysiak, 95, of Brevard, NC, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 23, 2026, at her home.

Frances was born on January 19, 1931, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Anthony Nizborski (1974) and Marcella Jurczyszyn Nizborski (1983). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Krysiak; her brothers, Carl and Peter; and her sisters, Anna, Genevieve, and Caroline.

Frances previously lived in Newark, NJ, Cranford, NJ, and Ft Myers, FL before moving to Brevard, NC, where she resided for the past 29 years.

Frances is survived by her children, Judy Doyle (Joseph) of Brevard, NC, Kathy Stein (Jac) of Hillside NJ, Mary T. Hansen (Don) of Cape Coral, FL, John F. Krysiak (Kim) of Middlebrook, VA; grandchildren, Andrea Wassel (Justin), Mark Hansen (Nichole), Ryan Krysiak (Carly), Nicole Yancovich (Ben), Shawn Krysiak; and six great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard, North Carolina, officiated by Father Shawn O’Neal. Frances will be laid to rest in St. Cecilia Cemetery in Fort Myers, Florida.
