Francis Robert (Bob) Lentini

            Francis Robert (Bob) Lentini of Asheville, North Carolina, passed August 11, 2023. Born August 17, 1956, to the late Salvatore M. Lentini and Angelina Pormagiano in Staten Island, New York, Bob was sixty-six.

            Bob was a twenty-two year resident of Fairview, a fourteen-year resident of Swannanoa, seven-year resident of West Asheville, and four-year resident of Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from Asheville High School in 1974, then served for four years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He completed an Electrician Journeyman training through AB-Tech Community College, and worked for Hayes & Lunsford Electric, MB Haynes Electric, then his own business, Lentini Electric & Alpha Security. Bob was a fisherman, a hunter and a photographer. He enjoyed bird watching, camping and spending time with family and friends.

            In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Gino Danelli.

            He is survived by his spouse of forty-eight years, Eva Williams Lentini; children, Paul Brandon Lentini (Katie Smith), Adam Christopher Lentini and Andrea Brooke Lentini, all of Asheville; sister, Sally Lentini Cook, of Marion, North Carolina; grandchildren, Dustin Tyler Lentini and Arabella Zoe Marsh, both of Asheville; and numerous nephews and nieces.

            A service will be held at two o’clock the afternoon of Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Asheville Gospel Chapel (350 Old Haw Creek Road, Asheville, North Carolina 28805). Interment will be at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
