Gary Lee Farrington

Gary "Lee" Farrington passed away on the morning of Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC, surrounded by the love of his family. A solar storm occurred simultaneously over the last few days of his life, with spectacular auroras visible in many places where you don't normally see them. The storm ended the day that he passed. This was fitting for our father as he was always looking for signs and wonders and marveled in awe when he was able to witness them.

Gary always lived on the edge. He was a fearless rebel, and his adventurous spirit could not be contained. He had a fire in his soul, a passion for motorcycles, sailboats, and scuba diving. He never lost his deep love for the ocean and hoped to someday sail the Bermuda Triangle. 

Gary "Lee" Farrington was an Army Veteran, a loving husband, father, and grandfather (Grampy). He leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Lois, their two cats, and their four children, Kira, Michael, Daniel, and Kaci. He has two daughters-in-law, Summer, the wife of Daniel, and Sydney, the wife of Michael, as well as two grandchildren, Macie and Lillian. He is survived by his siblings, Michael, Keith, Carl, and Karen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marilyn, his brother Bruce, and his sister Kathy.
