Geneva Lewis Barham, born April 2, 1945, went to be with the Lord Saturday June 27, 2026.
Preceded in death are her parents, Bill and Mary Lewis, her sister Linda Parker and nephew Lewis Lewis.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Lee Barham — they were married for 59 years. Also survived by her is her brother, David Lewis, and two sisters, Rebecca Watson (husband Denny) and Sharon Purcell (husband David). She loved and spoiled 9 nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and nephews, and 12 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Geneva worked for years at the Enka Plant and Southern Bell. She and Lee later became caregivers for her mother. Her interests were crafting jewelry and painting, of which she gifted to many. Her paintings were compared to being next to "fine art" by a professional art teacher.
Geneva (Snook, to her family) was a true blessing and loved by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at Canton Freewill Baptist Church, Gilbert Street, Canton, NC. Officiated by Rev. Larry Collins.
