George Bush Obituary

            George Wayne Bush (Millsaps) of Bryson City, North Carolina, died Thursday, August 15, 2024. Born June 6, 1966, to the late Charles Edward Bush and Wanda Fay Zipse in Orofino, Idaho, he was fifty-eight.

            George was a previous resident of Robbinsville, North Carolina. He attended Maple Springs Baptist Church in Bryson City and looked forward to going out to eat on Sundays with his church family. George enjoyed spending time in the woods ginseng-ing and ramp-hunting. He was a fisherman and worked as a mechanic. He was interested in monster trucks and muscle cars, and liked John Wayne movies. George loved being with his friends and family.

            In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his niece, Billie Jo Tefenteller; great-niece, Jolene Tefenteller; nephew, John Bush; and brothers, Harold Judd and Johnny Bush.

            He is survived by his daughter, Serenidy Bush of Vale, North Carolina; siblings, Mary Holloway (Baron Holloway) of Bryson City, Deana Judd of Robbinsville, Charlie Bush (Teresa Bush) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Sheila Skeen of Port Orchard, Washington; step-father, Ray Millsaps of Robbinsville; nephew, Dillian Holloway (Kelsey Holloway) of Robbinsville, niece Nola Nobrega (David Nobrega) of Bryson City, great nephews Caleb and Kody Crisp of Bryson City, Owen and Devon Holloway of Robbinsville, and Shirley Jenkins of Bryson City; and several other dear family members and loved ones.

            A service will be held at two o’clock the afternoon of August 24, 2024, at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Bryson City. Neil Ammons, Dan Consean and Kevin Crane will officiate. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, beginning at one o’clock. Interment will follow at a later date in Orofino, Idaho. Flowers may be sent to Maple Springs Baptist Church (1112 Needmore Road, Bryson City, North Carolina 28713). Please make any memorial donations to David or Nola Nobrega to help cover funeral expenses.
