George Edward Lindner III, 45, of Asheville, NC, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at The Solace Center.
Born on January 9, 1981, in Burke County, NC, George was the son of George Edward Lindner Jr. and Karen Elaine Childers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on the road, as he truly loved driving. George worked for many years as a carpenter and later as a cook at several local restaurants and fast-food establishments. Known for his hardworking nature and versatile skills, he was a true handyman who could fix or build just about anything.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Karen Fazio of Asheville, NC; stepfather, Steven M. Fazio of Asheville, NC; father, George Edward Lindner Jr. of Marion, NC; sisters, Chrystal Morrow (Jason) of Grover, NC, Jena Lindner Lovet of Marion, NC, Cheyenne Lindner of Marion, NC, and Kathy Johnson of Hickory, NC; brothers, Charles Johnson of Hickory, NC and James Walden; grandmother, Alfreda LaPlante of Arden, NC, sons, Levi Jordan Eugene Harrison Linder of Florence, SC and Tyler Ralph Merrell of Burke County, NC; along with several nieces and nephews.
