Glenda Henrietta (Warren) Hoglen

  Glenda Henrietta Warren Hoglen of Leicester, NC, passed from this life into her heavenly home with the Lord, May 10, 2023, at the age of seventy-nine. Glenda was born September 3, 1943, to Roy and Nellie Warren.

    Glenda graduated from Enka High School. She worked for American Enka and for Buncombe County Schools. Glenda was an avid reader. She baked cakes every year at Christmas for her family and friends. Glenda was a diehard Tarheel basketball fan. She loved her family and her two grandchildren. 

    In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by nine brothers and two sisters.

    She is survived by her husband, Jim Hoglen, to whom she was married fifty-eight years; children, Glenda H. Tunstall (Donald) of Hendersonville, Greg Hoglen of Leicester, and Debbie Hoglen of Candler; sister, Barbara W. Briggs of Asheville; grandchildren, Briana Whitted (Will) of Waynesville, and Kelan Whitted (Sabrina) of Hickory Tavern, SC; and by many nieces and nephews and friends.
