Harold G. Gilliam

Harold G. Gilliam (Butch) 73, of Asheville, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Born December 23, 1953 in Asheville, NC, he was a son of the late George Hall and Sadie Gilliam. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed by Ingle-Mayflower Movers for several years. He was a member of St. Mark Church of God in Christ in Marion, NC. Surviving are his siblings, Mattie McNeil and her spouse, John, of Greensboro, NC, Walker Gilliam and his spouse, Barbara, of Lincolnton, NC, Samuel Lynch of Atlanta, GA, and Gwendolyn Stokley and her spouse, James, of Asheville, NC. Harold also had 7 nieces and 7 nephews., as well as one lifelong friend, Mr. Coot, that stuck by him until the end.  A graveside service will be held at noon on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville, NC., with Pastor James Stokley officiating.
