Harold Waldrop, 79, of Marshall, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Asheville, NC. Harold was born on December 2, 1945 in Marshall, NC to the late Roy (Sambo) Waldrop (2000) and Allie Elizabeth Ball Waldrop (1999).
He is also preceded in death by his brother, Ray Waldrop; father-in-law, Ted Floyd Payne; mother-in-law, Evelyn Ballew Payne; and brother-in-law, Ted Floyd Payne Jr.
Harold attended Marshall High School, Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, and Western Carolina University. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. He was then employed at TSAChoice Inc. where he retired in 2008. Harold enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing.
Surviving Harold is his wife, Tula Payne Waldrop; aunt, Maude Waldrop of Marshall, NC; many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law’s, and sister-in-law’s; and extended family, Stacey, Samantha, Jackie, and Judy Ball.
Harold will be laid to rest at Ball Cemetery at 3534 Baileys Branch Road, Marshall, NC 28753 on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1PM.
