Helen Pegg Keene, 83, of Weaverville, NC passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Helen was born on September 7, 1943 in Asheville, NC to the late Creed Pegg (1973) and Fleeta Hyder (1994). She was also preceded in death by her son, Darren Keene.

Helen worked in tax services for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing at the casino and spending time with her family. Helen had a heart of Gold and will be greatly missed.

Helen is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Keene; children, Stacy Keene of Weaverville, NC, Tonya Lynch of Weaverville, NC; siblings, Janice, Sandra, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Tyler Lynch of Asheville, NC, Chae Lynch of Asheville, NC, Zakk Keene of Weaverville, NC; great grandchildren, Hazel Keene of Weaverville, NC and Bryson Keene of Weaverville, NC.

A service may be held at a later date.
