Helen Joyce “Jo” Hensley, 67, of Sylva, North Carolina, died Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020, at Vero Healthcare & Rehab.

Joyce was born April 14th, 1953, in Sylva, North Carolina to the late Eula N. Jones and the late Henley Bennett Jones. She was married to the late William Michael Hensley, her husband of 48 years. Joyce worked as a manager of the University Inn with whom she retired. She enjoyed drawing, painting, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by son, Christopher Michael Hensley of Sistersville, West Virginia; daughter, Candace Hensley Threadgill (Bobby) of Whittier, North Carolina; grandkids, Aaron Hensley (Emily) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Brooklyn Hensley, Heath Hensley, Gracie Threadgill, and Gabriel Threadgill; sister Frankie Buck of Norfolk, Virginia and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held and announced for Joyce at a later date.
