Ima Jean Skovran, aged 86, of Candler, NC, passed away January 21, 2024.
Ima was born, July, 7, 1937, in Pineville, KY, to the late Arville Collins and Ruby Gamble Collins. She retired as a Buyer for Belk’s. Ima loved reading, watching TV shows such as The Young & Restless, Bold and Beautiful, and WWE Wrestling. She traveled to many places in the USA and was friend to whoever needed her. She was known as everyone’s granny.
In addition to her parents, Ima is preceded in passing by her husband, Lawrence Joseph Skovran; children Joseph Lawrence Skovran and Jeffery Paul Skovran; and brother, Mark Collins.
Ima is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Sumner of Candler, NC; grandchildren, Jason Skovran of Palm City, FL, Robert D’Amato of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeffery Skovran of Port Charlotte, FL, and Angela Helms of Greenville, SC; great grandchildren, Ariana Smith of Greenville, SC, Giovanni D’Amato of Colorado Springs, CO, and Abby Skovran of Palm City, FL; son in law, David Gross of Candler, NC; grandson in law, Michael Smith of Greenville, SC; daughter in law, Cindy Skovran of Palm City, FL; and granddaughter in law, Duska D’Amato of Colorado Springs, CO.
