Iris (Nissinoff) Gartenbaum

            Iris Nissinoff Gartenbaum, eighty-eight, passed Sunday, August 22, 2021, in Asheville, North Carolina.

            Iris was born November 13, 1932, to the late Rose and Sol Nissinoff. She lived most of her adult life in Orlando, Florida. She loved reading, bingo, traveling, music, and spending time with her family.

            In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by Myron Gartenbaum, the love of her life, and to whom she was married sixty-two years, and by a brother, Sheldon Nissinoff.

            She is survived by her children, Bennet Gartenbaum of Clermont, Florida, and Steven and his wife Tracy Gartenbaum of Murphy, North Carolina; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

            A private family service will be held in Iris’ honor at a later date.
