Jackie was born March 21, 1968, to Joyce Elaine Whitmire McCall and James Louie McCall, Jr., in Transylvania County. She graduated from Brevard High School with the Class of 1986.

Jackie is survived by her parents; her children, son Darren Ward of Brevard, North Carolina, and daughter Deidra Drennen and husband Cory of Penrose, North Carolina; her sister, Crystal McCall Gillespie of Brevard, North Carolina; grandchildren, Brayden, Cameron and McKenzie Ward of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, and Michelle, Emma and Maddie Drennen of Penrose, North Carolina; nieces, Jasmine, Heidi and Kyleigh Gillespie and nephew, Mason Gillespie, all of Brevard, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to hospice, or to the Cancer Treatment Center of Brevard in honor of the tremendous care they provided.
