Jacob Weaver III Obituary

Jacob Fisk Weaver III, 80, of Asheville, died Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center.

He was born in Asheville, North Carolina on April 9, 1940, to the late Jacob Fisk Weaver, II and Sarah Wilkins Weaver. He was preceded in death by his sister, Terrell Elizabeth Weaver. He attended Lee Edwards High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was of the Methodist faith and retired from NC DOT after many years of dedicated service as a Transportation Construction Inspector. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Kathy Harrison Weaver of Asheville; a son, James Scott Weaver of Hickory, NC: three grandchildren, Bryanna Weaver of Conover, NC, David Weaver and Conner Weaver, both of Hickory.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Asheville.

In Lieu of flowers or other gifts, memorial contributions may be made to the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.
