Jacqueline Roper Stackhouse was born on August 13, 1932 to Thomas Wesley and Theo Roper in Florence S.C. and passed away on January 18, 2023. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Jacquie traveled extensively and made life-long friends along the way. She had a life-long career as a teacher and social worker. She was a Master Gardener and had a love of nature. She was a supporter of the arts and an avid reader. Described by her friends as extraordinary, giving, creative and she was a bright light.
A celebration of life will be held at The Cathedral of All Souls in Asheville on February 18th at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
