James Raymond Lowe

            James Raymond Lowe passed May 24, 2024, at home in Brevard, North Carolina. He was born November 18, 1942, to the late Luna and Alma Lowe in Brevard.

            In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy and Jeff Lowe.

            James was also a previous resident of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. He attended Quebec Elementary and Rosman High School. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army and worked in the textile industry. James was the Rosman Tigers’ and the Clemson Tigers’ #1 fan. He loved being a husband, a dad and a papaw. He enjoyed fishing and listening to Johnny Cash.  

            James is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Evelyn Lowe; sister, Joyce Brown (Leon) of Georgia; grandchildren, Jessica Lowe (Danny), Tyber Lowe and Alex Morris, all of Rosman, North Carolina, Summer Lance (Chad) of Penrose, North Carolina, and Seth Morris (Summer) of Waynesville, North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Talon, Willow, Caitlyn, Isaac, Brentlee, Angel and Shyla. James has several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and adopted granddaughters and grandsons whom he loved dearly.
