James Carroll Lyda

     James Carroll Lyda, 76 of Mountain Home NC, moved to his heavenly home May 22, 2023,  He was born April 22, 1947.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James Elmer Lyda and Addie Bertha Campfield Lyda, and brother Cecil William Lyda. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sherlene Goode Lyda; his children Julie Lyda Singleton (Jerry), Christopher Steven Lyda (Mandy), and Michael Jonathan Lyda; His grandchildren Christian and Joshua Singleton, Raema and Malachi Lyda, Megan, Michael Hunter, and Gabriel Lyda; His great-grandchildren Malin Lyda and Tate Pries. He is also survived by his brothers Howard Lyda (Sheril) and Lee Lyda (Sandra), and his sister Barbara Webb, along with many nieces and nephews.

    James was the owner of J’s Electric Company. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, papa and friend. He was a great example of love, honor, respect, faithfulness, and care for others. He left a legacy that will carried throughout generations. He lived a life of devotion to his family and to God.

     Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 29, 2023 at Glory Tabernacle Church located at 1221 Sweeten Creek Road Asheville NC. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm and Service at 6:00pm with Pastor Ronnie Pittman officiating.
