James Payne Obituary

James Eddie Payne of Leicester,NC, passed away on March 30, 2022 ,at the John F. Keever Solace Center.

James was born in Madison County NC, to the late Tommy Frank Payne and Kathleen McGalliard Payne. He was married 38 years to his wife Sandra Payne. James worked as a truck driver, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. James was also a member of Payne Chapel in Marshall,NC.

In addition to his wife, james is survived by his children Shana Payne, TJ Payne, Kenneth Brown, Chris Brown (Bridget) all of Leicester, NC. Grandchildren Tanner Brown of Fairbanks, AK, and Dakota Brown, Tristan Goldsmith, Bradley Surratt, Kharter Payne all of Leicester, NC.

The family will be spreading James ashes April 16th, at Redmon Cemetery with Military Honors, Pastor Randy Burrell will be officiating. A Private service for the family to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Redmon Cemetery. The family of James wishes to extend sincere thanks the wonderful care given by Mission Hospital and the John F. Keever Solace Center.
