James Michael Gay

            James Michael Gay of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed April 1, 2024. Born August 7, 1956, to the late William and Loretta Gay in Greer, South Carolina, Mike was sixty-seven.

            Mike enjoyed basketball and followed the Atlanta Braves. 

            He is survived by his wife, Debra Webb Gay, to whom he was married twenty-seven years; children, Kristen Sorrells Martin (Chad) of Asheville, NC, Philip Sorrells of Arden, North Carolina, Melanye Crayton (Jeff) of Weaverville, North Carolina, Stephanye Rogers (Bennett) of Weaverville, and Hilary Gay of Asheville; siblings, Susan Sturgis (Randy) of Fort Mill, and Chris Gay of Beaufort, South Carolina; and grandchildren, Noah Kuykendall of Asheville, Eliana Rogers of Weaverville, and Ryder Rogers of Weaverville.
