Janet Marie Kuykendall Doupe

Janet Marie Kuykendall, 68, passed away on May 10, 2025 in Landrum, SC. Born on June 24, 1956 in Asheville, NC to the late Helen Wells and Cecil Kuykendall.

Janet was a high school graduate and a devoted member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Candler, NC, where she found comfort and community in her faith. A creative spirit, she found joy in crafting intricate jewelry, working patiently with beads to bring beautiful designs to life. She was an avid reader, always eager to explore new stories and ideas. Her kitchen was a place of constant warmth, filled with the aroma of her cooking and baking, which she lovingly shared with family and friends.

Surviving Janet are her children, Danielle London of Asheville, NC, Jamie London of Asheville, NC; sister, Tammie Burrell (Jimmy) of Goldsboro, NC; grandchildren, Dakota London of Kings Mountain, NC, Jordan London of Arden, NC, Lana London of Asheville, NC; great grandchild, Lydia Rivera of Cowpens, NC; niece, Tracey Burrell of Goldsboro, NC; great nieces, Jocelyn Ellis of Goldsboro, NC, Zondra Burrell of Goldsboro, NC; and great great niece, Lily Ellis of Goldsboro, NC.

A visitation will be held on May 15, 2025 at 5:00PM at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held on May 15, 2025 at 6:00PM at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Eric Hill will be officiating.

Janet lived her life for the Lord and her family. She always said she was put on this earth to be a mother and a grandmother and she loved fiercely and unconditionally. She loved all her family that way and she will forever be missed. Rest well our dear angel.
